I’ve been working toward taking my action figures farther along into animation. Fortunately, I have some access to scanning and printing equipment.
When I was in grad school, I came across a book about Paul Klee’s hand puppets, which he presumably used to scare the shit out of his son. I’m very inspired by the uncanny nature of these puppets, and all puppets, marionettes, and ventriloquist dummies. After all, puppets are a natural companion to/for animation. We bring them to life.
I am focusing on heads and hands at the moment, with armature and clothing to come next.
