Lily came over and we played music for a little bit after working on her pedal board.

We then went out to lunch and to see Nosferatu.

The most striking thing is the atmosphere Robert Eggers created. At times, it seems like the scenes are lit only with the candles, lamps and/or fireplaces. You can almost smell the thick, stifling air in some of the scenes. It’s visually very dark, and I’m glad I saw it in the theater. Thomas’ walk to Count Orlok’s castle through the deserted winter forest is chilling, as is the inside of the castle. I loved the funeral/coffin scenes.
