I’m plugging away at various films – I put this together as a walk cycle test.
The background is from my trip to Utah.
In the shop!
I invented this fellow when I was 6 or 7. I made comics about him, and he features in an upcoming animation.

It was just last year (plus ten days) that I mentioned I was working on a new animation (Terms of Service). Perhaps it’s the act of declaring an intention to a now mostly empty blogosphere that feels satisfying. Maybe sharing that I’m sitting alone among piles of drawings, volumes of writing, using the most cutting edge tools of the animation factory that feels so rewarding, if only you were to notice the steam issuing from my workshop chimney.
Well, I’m working on two films, concurrently. This is a first for me, made possible by the fact that I quit my day job. I’m also still setting up my new studio/workshop, and I ran across this character I invented when I was about 7. I have more drawings somewhere, but I haven’t been able to put my hands on them. He’s usually smoking.

This guy and my younger self have inspired me. Stay tuned! Things are really cooking!
