Atmosphere

More fun with paper cut-outs, following up on Star Gazing.

The suit is in the foreground, and the skeleton is on a separate sheet of paper, visible through the helmet.

This was tricky to photograph.  I took about 100 photos before settling on the one above. I like the skeleton blurry, rather than the suit. Here’s the inverse, where the suit is blurry:

Well, you asked…

Two more Spark responses, for Round 7. My partners were Melissa Pasanen, haiku master, and Cassie Premo Steele, who is just a creative master.

I came up with a whole series of things from Melissa’s haiku, and I’m still working on ’em. Here’s rabbit hole I ventured into:

My other response went like this, which is something I’ve been thinking about lately, in addition to skeletons.

Don’t eat acrylic paint – it’s isn’t good for you. Or your bum.

Blue Woman

These are some sketches (the last two literally sketched and painted in a sketchbook). All very rough,  I’m still just messing around with paint. The first two below go together – the second is kind of a close-up detail of the first one and hints at the  story.

The last two are sketches for other ones. Acrylics are making my sketchbooks a lot more interesting. And I learn something every time I touch a brush.

I’m feeling a little more confident with the pen nibs, although I need a better way to clean them.

All this lounging is making me sleepy, soooo – goodnight!
