Hess

Our friends Melissa and Drew recently lost their companion of 15+ years. I made this remembrance in a silver spoon that belonged to Drew’s grandmother.

Hess was very friendly to me, and she was very soft and sweet. She liked to chase bunnies, and had a Harry Houdini routine with her leash and color.

I hope she is chasing lots of bunnies on the other side of the rainbow bridge!

A Few More Spoons

The ongoing, ever persistent spoon project continues! A new Mothra, a glow-in-the-dark jellyfish skull, and a lovely specimen of Anomala Orientalis, preserved in resin.

Tree Spoon, revisited

I enjoy making these tree spoons, and it’s been a while since I’ve done one. Once again, I used a scrap of paper left over from another diorama.

What to do with a spoon and a scrap of paper?

I decided to add resin.

The Spoon Raccoon

I collect spoons for a living.
Because this is a comic, I don't need money.
The fridge is always full.
And I love spoons.

Eggs and Spoons

Here is a much more elaborate stop motion test, where I explored lighting and camera position. No eggs were harmed in the making of this video, and the spoons were a delight to handle! <- see what I did there?
